[Gllug] Apple Ipod Help

Hi All,

I got a very small Ipod for my birthday (Sunday) the instructions said goto
ipod.com/downloads - which took me to the apple site. I downloaded the installer - ran it
and when I plugged in the ear plugs all it would say was "please use itunes to sync this
ipod" in an American voice. The device is not seen by Ubuntu 9.10 - I've installed gtkpod I
added some Django Reinhart which seemed to be in a play list - but were not added to the ipod.

All I get is "Please use itunes etc.." how do I configure it to work with Linux or do I
chuck it in the draw and forget about it?
