[Gllug] Ssh Debugging

Dear Ian and others,

Some progress.  On my server, penguin, the command

     /usr/sbin/sshd -d -4 -p 1234

kicks off without error.  However, on my client, lapwing,
the command

    /usr/sbin/ssh -4 -p 1234 mick at penguin.dcs.bbk.ac.uk

elicits no response whatsoever.
