I haven't tried it, but I think it's unlikely. Search is a great
interface for when we know what we're looking for, but don't know
where it is. It's a *terrible* interface for when we want to go to the
place where we already know something is. For me, launching an
application or using a menu from within an application generally falls
into the latter category, but that's what they're wanting to replace
with a search box. They claim it'll be optional. For now.
