I bet they did not have planning permission for that!
When I was looking to buying a terraced house, and had a full
structual done on one place I liked.
The report said that too many houses in that street had done unsafe
loft conversions that did not meet regulations, and it was a death
trap waiting to happen, because it will probably collapse like cards.
