That pretty much sucks. Much of it is one of these things you learn 
from, and choose a different supplier next time.

FWIW, an ex-colleague used these folks for his - 
http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ - I have no direct personal experience, 
but they do the kind of thing you want, and he used them on more than 
one occasion, and was happy.

I'd also say this stands as am excellent reason to use a credit card for 
this sort of purchase. I note your website account says you don't have 
one, but I really think if you're buying stuff online, it's almost as 
basic as expecting the website to use SSL. If you pay cash up front, 
you're in for a world of pain if anything goes wrong. If you do so on a 
card, you just reclaim the money from the card provider, and leave them 
to deal with the supplier. They have a much bigger stick...
