Hi,

I want to install Nagios XI, but get this rather extreme warning:

IMPORTANT: This script should only be used on a 'clean' install of CentOS or
RedHat. Do NOT use this on a system that has been tasked with other purposes
or has an existing install of Nagios Core. To create such a clean install
you should have selected ONLY the 'Base' package in the OS installer.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]

Am I to take this seriously? Does anyone know specifically what danger this
poses?

Nagios XI is a real pain to install. It is really fussy about what is
installed and even after that, is difficult to get going because of some
missing lib.
So rather than Nagios fixing their installer, they complain that the OS is
not installed right. Not what I would expect for the commercial version of
product one has actually paid for.
So much so, that we have moved to using Zabbix.

Kind regards

James
