If we're talking TSDBs and monitoring, I have to mention https://prometheus.io/
There are plenty of exporters (components that expose metrics). node_exporter does everything mentioned in this thread so far, and https://github.com/cloudflare/psi_exporter is of interest for PSI specifically.
