Char-major-195 is the NVIDIA kernel module NVDRIVER. You'll need to=20
reinstall the NVIDIA RPMs for the new kernel. You'll probably need to=20
download the source RPM from NVIDIA's website unless NVIDIA have got up=20
with the RedHat updates.
File is
NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2960.src.rpm (or whatever the current version is)

rpm --rebuild NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2960.src.rpm

should build a new rpm file in /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386. This can then=20
be installed using rpm -U. However you may need to install the rpmbuild=20
package off the original CD.

After that, you can reinstall the second NVIDIA RPM and X should work=20
again

NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-2960.src.rpm

This gets me every time I install a new kernel
