There are many sites (temporarily) like this at the moment.  Sometimes 
you will find a link on the page will take you to the actual site.

If not, I would head to a mirror for Debian or Redhat packages and grab 
the relevant source package.  This will have an original mrtg tar-gz 
contained within.

For example, you could download:

http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/m/mrtg/mrtg_2.9.29.orig.tar.gz

After signing the petition for a Software Patent Free Europe of course :-)
