[Gloucs] mandrake 10

I've not done that particular install myself but I always go with the rule that if it's a major version upgrade then reinstall, otherwise upgrade.  

I keep files I need in my /home directory, back it up and use it with the new version.

has anyone installed Mandrake Ver 10 over Ver 8 on a laptop ?
I'm not too familiar with Linux but trying to get to know it steadily.
