Subject: Seti at home tweaks

Hello there. I'm Luke Nichols, and I run the seti at home cmd line client. I
was wondering if there is any tweaks I can do to my system to make it run
quicker. I have already cleaned the registry of my windows me system,
turned my video colors down to 16bit, refresh rate to 56 instead of
default, turned of the auto insert notification on my cd rom, and put
ramidle le on my computer to keep the memory defragged. I use two
computers. Both are IBM's. One is a 266mhz and the other is a 400 mhz.
Both are low memory computers.

Please help!

Im too poor for computer clusters! I can't even afford a pentium IV LOL

Also I'd like to find likeminded seti at home users, to meet them, and to see
if there are any good newsgroups concerning seti at home. So please, contact
me!

And Is there any corporations, or government grants out there where a
disabled man, who don't mind spending the money on the electricy to do
seti at home might upgrade his computer systems to higher processors, with
more memory. Keep in mind, I live on Social Security, barely enough to
scrape by living as it is. I mean, this 400 megahertz I bought from a
discount computer place in Nebraska, for 80 dollars, and it put me in a
bind to buy it. LOL I know there is tons of computer corporations out
there that can help me, if they will. I'm just asking. It dont hurt to
ask.

To view my stats to see what kind of benchmarking we're talking, go to the
user accounts area of the seti at home web site, and get a stat report for:

PS- I will remove you from my email at anytime, though this is a one time
mailing. Just reply with REMOVE in the subject line. Luke
