Agreed.

Limitations will really only be:

* don't reconfigure ssh or the firewall - if you make a mistake you
  can lock yourself out (and have to go over to your Dad's house)

* you can't repartition the main hard drive

* reinstalling Linux or reconfiguring grub over ssh is something best
  left until you have developed some expertise

* you can't play or test 3D games like FlightGear
