[Gloucs] Sound Cards

The main problem with using a any PC in combination with decks is that any RF
interference from the laptop/desktop will travel down the cables to the decks.
To this end one of the most important aspects of this kind of setup would be the
introduction of some kind of RF filtering between the preamp and the A to D.
This may be easier said than done as most audio USB cables are screened. Even
the D to A in a USB sound device will cause a small amount of RF interference
let alone the ammount being broadcast by your PC, Also keep the computer and all
associated cabels as far away as possible from the deck.

Best of luck

Tim

; Soundblaster cards from creative are extremely pro and the best sounds cards
; i've ever come across.
; I have only experienced using Audigy 2 cards on linux however, and they do
; require a bit of tweaking to get them working right.
; Although i also have a logitech webcam with mic, which in some of my linux
; installations has defaulted the Mic as the default sound card
; over my soundblaster. I would consider looking at there range of products if
; i were you and see what looks best if you want to use a seperate sound card.
