Thanks for all the replies.

I hope to get some updated info soon,  but I think she gets her 
"broadband" 
from some wireless gadget mounted on top of a pole.

That doesn't sound like the ADSL I get here,  and I would expect some form
of  rationing.

I hope VoIP / SIP  works over it !
