Hello All,
I managed now to install the Nvidia driver version 7184 for Debian 4.0
. This is a great distribution by the way, if not THE one :-) .
Now I like to run compiz which is to be installed from the aptitude (I
am using Synaptic). It installs the 0.22. So far so good.
Now my problem: When starting compiz under KDE it complains about
missing KDE Windows Decorator which is not in the pool for etch
stable. I have to go for the unstable which has dependencies to the
higher compiz version 0.5 and this one also to some libs.
Questions now:
1. Can I run an unstable compiz on the stable Debian 4.0.
2. How are the addresses for the unstable pools for etch, so I can
activate them in synaptic?
3. Do you think the risk is high to break the distribution?
Thank you again for ideas.
Regards
Christian
