I've never heard of Foresight Linux; however, when you say it "shuts
down", what exactly do you mean? It powers off the PC? Or less drastic
than that?
As an aside, is there some reason, other than the fact that you have it on
a free disk, why you want to use Forsight? I'm not saying there's anything
wrong with it (as I said above, I've never heard of it), but if you use a
more mainstream distro there will be more people who are able to help you.
For "mainstream" read (in no special order) Debian, Ubunutu, Fedora, etc.
