[Gloucs] Blockig Streaming Audio?

I'm looking for some guidance on blocking streaming audio/video for my users
- as it consumes the DSL bandwidth.

The best I can find so far is this  -

... but I know there are also options beyond Squid such as DansGuardian and
there are gui-driven options such as Untangle.. but has anyone already done
this successfully without resorting to a hardware based solution?
