Although UltraVNC only has a windows client/server and for most purposes
rdesktop works fine for connecting to windows..

Another tool which I don't think was mentioned and I use quite
frequently is x11vnc, it's especially useful if you realise you need to
access the X display of a machine remotely, but haven't actually set
that up, you can just SSH in and run it.
