I think IPv6 will be longer coming upon us than many think. It's been
coming for a long time, and is still mainly just a toy for nerds.
Friends of mine who've decided to be progressive and try IPv6 have
regretted it - as IPv6 versions of sites (and, more crucially, DNS) are
generally less maintained than the IPv4 versions, so an IPv6-capable
client sees more of a broken Internet:

Personally, I'm skeptical that people won't just keep adding workarounds
to IPv4 address shortage. I explored this in a blog post, in which I
suggested that just improving SOCKS a bit would overcome most of the
downsides of NAT, without the effort of a full IPv6 migration:

However, since writing, I heard of 6rd, which has given me somewhat more
