Configuring an Ubuntu box to join a Windows Domain is fairly easy with PBIS
Open formally Likewise Open.

SSO using Apache and PBIS Open

I am using this in production on 30+ Ubuntu Desktops joined to a Windows
domain and have 5 Ubuntu Servers connected to the domain, It's great!
