[Herefordshire] Samba Permissions

Hi Andrew

I cant change the directory permissions - whenever I put a tick in the "write" checkbox, it gets removed again.

All the user names and passwords are identical in both Windows and Linux.

Can you remind me about the encryption registry hack in XP?

Cheers

Gary

What about the permissions on the directories themselves? Also ensure
that password encryption is disabled in W2k/XP, (there is a registry
hack I can give you), and also ensure that the user cridentials that
Windows is giving the server are correct (i.e, corispond to users with
read/write permissions).

Andrew.
