1. check that you have IP forwarding enabled
in Fedora, you would add / edit the following in /etc/sysctl.conf
# Controls IP packet forwarding
net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1
then run 'sysctl -p'
Alternatively you can
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
but you'll need to add it to /etc/rc.local to make it persistent across
reboots (if your distro hasn't got /etc/sysctl,conf)
2. As you have assigned local interfaces to each of the subnets, you
shouldn't have to add any static routes, therefore 'netstat -rn' should
show you a couple of lines with something like...
10.0.0.0 10.0.0.253 255.255.255.0 UG 0 0 0 eth0
10.0.1.0 10.0.1.253 255.255.255.0 UG 0 0 0 eth1
