hello matt,

i was asked to do a gimp demo because there were some people who hadn't used 
it before, so i was only going to do a few simple bits like starting a new 
picture, showing what the tool icons do and maybe a few filters, because 
that's about the limit of my knowledge anyway.

i didn't have a set time frame or anything.

are you ok with taking over? i feel bad about dropping it on you, but i'm 
way out of my depth on this one.
