You probably know that GPG/PGP can be used for encryption, but it can
also prove who you are when used to sign a mail as this one should be.
You can post your key to public keyservers for anyone to download. The
reason for getting it signed is to prove that it belongs to the included
email address. This is the principle behind the 'web of trust'. I'm sure
a quick Google will provide plenty of information.

Keysigning is fairly simple. Obviously you need a key to be signed. If
you don't have one then you can generate on either using GPG directly or
via a tool such as KGpg or Enigmail via Thunderbird. Then get it
uploaded to a keyserver. Make sure you use a decent keyphrase, i.e.
something non-obvious and several words long.

For the actual signing you just need to bring printouts of your key
signature and some form of identification e.g. passport or photo driving
licence. Those willing to sign your key can check your identity and sign
it at their leisure before re-uploading it to the keyservers.

It shouldn't take much time. I've only done it with individuals before.
There may be more efficient ways to do it as a group. I'll check the FAQs.
