[Herts] RE: New Linux PC - POST Problems

Hi,

Just getting together the parts for my Ma's new Linux PC!!!

Gigabyte 7NF RZ
Radeon 9600
Corsair memory
AMD 3000

I have assembled the board, video card, CPU and memory. Then switched
on. I get a few seconds of silence then an alternating two tone sound
for a several seconds then silence, nothing is displayed on the monitor.
I have tried removing and rechecking everything, but I get the same
result.
Have you any idea what this POST sound means.. apart from trouble!!!!
