[Herts] Open PC?

Following up on the open graphics card I mentioned earlier, which was
discussed last night, someone has set up a project to discuss how an
entirely open computer could be created

Not much there yet, but only started a few days ago.

Computer hardware should be completely neutral in that it will do
whatever you want it to, providing you can find or write appropriate
software.

Do Microsoft, the RIAA, US government or anyone else have the clout to
force all hardware makers to incorporate DRM and other 'trusted
hardware' features? Let's hope not.
