Somewhat belated, and hopefully succesful this time, response to 
firefox addons.

Useful firefox addons I use:-

Copy plain text: useful in windoze (yes i know) to copy text without 
any formatting

FEBE: allows you to backup your firefox profile / bookmarks and 
transfer them to another machine

PDFDownload: gives you options to open or download or open in a pdf 
viewer of your choice outside of the browser instead of being forced 
to open it in the browser window / tab

Dowload Statusbar: useful for keeping track of downloads without 
having to have the big default FF download window.
