[Herts] A little hardware project

I'm currently reading Makers by Cory Doctorow
(http://craphound.com/makers/) that features use of 3d printers. I'd
heard about people making their own and here is one that is all open
source

Costs about £300 to build and you can use one to make parts for
further printers.

You just need a 3D scanner and you can start copying objects.

This could have all sorts of uses.
