Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone was using Lightscribe disc labelling on Linux?
I finally replaced the aging CD writer in my Linux server at home with a DVD &
CD writer which has Lightscribe capability (using the drive's laser to burn a
label image onto the label side of special Lightscribe discs).
I've installed Lacie's lightscribe software from their RPMs via 'alien' on my
Debian box, and it runs, but the drive is not seen as usable:
[davidp at supernova:~/lightscribe]$ 4L-cli enumerate
Using /etc/lightscribe.rc
Drive path: /dev/hda
Usable: 0
Full name: TSSTcorp - CDDVDW SH-S222L - SB03
Model: CDDVDW SH-S222L
Manufacturer: TSSTcorp
Capabilities: monochrome
Drive inner radius: 58
Drive outer radius: 0
Just thought I'd ask on the offchance that someone here has encountered this
before.
Cheers
Dave P
