I'm the opposite, by default "html".

I know... I know... but your average Joe expects nice fonts in an email
and wonders why your email likes a teleprompt if you don't!

My clients setup for plain text, its just when i reply to a html mail it
does it in html.

Your first one was html, second one fine.

Michael Adams was also guilty.

html just means your message gets delayed by a few hours.
