I am having problems surfing the web in Ubuntu.
At the moment I am exploring two web browsers but with no success.
Although I can seem to naigate pages line by line in the text browser
w3m, I can't seem to find the keystrokes for navigating pages ie opening
Url's ie if I open the URL www.btinternet.com after typing w3m, I can't
find out how to go from there to the RNIB homepage.
Firefox 2 works a little better in the respect I can access forms but it
is not really supported that well in Orca.
This means I am going to have to do the following things.
1 Find out what the UK keystrokes for w3m as I seem to only get a
japaneese keyboard layout for it.
2 find another text browser which will give me page navigation when I
use my up and down cursor keys to scroll lines and find out how to fill
in forms with it instead of using w3m.
3 struggle with default Firefox in Ubuntu to get web pages to read, the
only way I get some success in this is to use Caract navigation which I
think is F7 if I can remember correctly off the top of my head.
4 have someone help me install the Firevox pluggin in the hope it will
make navigating pages easier with the default Firefox.
5 Have someone help me install the latest Firefox Beta and hope that it
will work with the default version of Orca that comes with Feisty.
6 Have someone help me install the latest version of Orca using the
build environment in Subversion along with the installed latest version
of Firefox and keep both up-to date in the hope that I won't have
problems with speech so I can get a better navigation of web pages
without me having to run a text browser.
