willie walker on the orca mailinglist told me how to copy text
from a terminal.
if i had known about the script command i could have been saved
time trying to look at error messages using orca and then thying
to write down the information on the braillenote.
i have sent the output of typescript to the orca list.
willie said he didn't have a ubuntu box handy at the time to
debug the error and sugestedsomeone else might look at it such as
thomas cehr or maybe luke yelavic who seems to package a lot of
the accessibility stu! for ubuntu.
i have attached the output of the script generated so perhaps
someone on this list might have a better understanding than me as
to what may be happening.
the only thing i can think of is that i have a gutsy cd which was
when gutsy was first released a little before and that there
might but a slight problem with the update manager on the cd i
have which is why speech-dispatcher causes orca and espeak to
stop working when the package extracts and tries to run.
