[Hudlug] Anybody there?

Hello out there!

I see the hudlug mailing list hasn't had any traffic for two years. However, I'm guessing there are still subscribers out there - who might see this message.

I was just wondering what became of the group - and/or any associated offshoots / groups / events / loose networks, etc in the Hunddersfield area.  (I'm actually in the process of moving eastwards across the Pennines, so am looking for local alternatives to the techy, arty & free-thinking groups / activities that are available in and around Manchester).

On Monday I popped along to the WYLUG social in Leeds - which turned out to be quite a decent gathering - and yesterday evening had a quick look at the Leeds Hackspace, which was also well attended. However, with Leeds being a train-ride away, I thought it might be worth chasing up any possibilities a little closer to Huddersfield.

I see the Social Media Cafe events seem to have dried up too. Where are the geeky happenin' places nowadays? ;-)
