The problem is after I've typed in 'make make modules_install' part though. 
After I hit return in chunders through loads of stuff and gives the line;

if [ -r System.map -a -x /sbin/depmod ]; then /sbin/depmod -ae -F

There is no bzimage created.

I mucked around with various usb and sound device settings in xconfig and 
got it generate different error codes, but not to finish and create the 
image.
