is well worth a look.

If it's any consolation I have the same problem sometimes, something I 
last did months ago, so familiar at the time, just disappears.

I've recently set up a personal wiki, I'm using usemod wiki, but there 
are lots of others, to keep notes on tasks. Sometimes even just a few 
words on a page are enough to be a reminder.
