Hi all,
I want to install a lightweight distro on my old Toshiba 500cdt laptop. The
bios doesn't have a boot from CD option so I'm forced to use floppy disks to
get in.
I've got another PC running SUSE, so I've had a go at making boot & root
disks for vector Linux
>From the Vector documentation...
dd if=diskimagename.img of=/dev/fd0
This worked fine and the floppy boots the PC, but wont boot the laptop, just
get [VECTOR LINUX] BOOT FAILED.
The laptop has an external floppy so maybe it's a non-standard interface, it
just annoying as old dos disks boot no problem!
Any ideas?
Nathan.
