You can get adaptors very cheaply from your local computer shop
usually. I have a few :)

I would suggest that you stick it in another (newer -
cd-bootable-capable) laptop (if you have one) but it's likely it
wouldn't fit. As I remember the tosh of that era had quite large hard
disks physically. I doubt they'd fit in a more modern laptop.
