You can work with more than 1 subnet per card by assigning multiple
addresses to the same card:
ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1 up netmask 255.255.255.0
ifconfig eth0:1 10.0.0.1 up netmask 255.255.255.0
This may help.. something. ;)
