Just upgraded to BT Home Hub (which broke 3 days in) but the BT Broadband Talk which gives free calls over the interent uses SIP from the soft phone or hub AND a gives you a proper fixed BT landline phone number. See where I'm going? Asterisk and Plutohome (which uses Asterisk) also uses SIP.....
