Aaaah, but we do.
The open source consortium has been providing this function since its
inception in 2005. As a consortium we are there to act as a point of
contact for Open source to the public sector. We campaign on a number of
issues relating to the uptake of FLOSS in the UK and europe. This
includes speaking out and campaigning on open formats, drm (bbc issues),
and the like.
The OSC has had a recent campaign with the ISO regarding the
standardisation of the OpenXML format from MS.
Lots is being done, you just might not see it.
