you can't do <?perl somecode ?>

therefore you can't embed a snippet in a template, it is all  
generated in code, regardless of what templating library you use to  
generate the HTML. What I wanted to get at there is that you can't  
use something like dreamweaver to do your styles and layouts with  
snippets of code smack bang in the middle of the html.

So its not just plain wrong.
