Yes, in which case this is an economical way of doing it and would take
up minimal rack space.

But, how much raw CPU grunt would you get from 10 EPIA ITX boards at say
1.2Ghz, vs a single dual, Dual Core, Opteron system, drawing only 500
Watts, with a much larger memory capability?

When you consider that there is a good chance of being able to get get a
quad CPU, Quad core opteron server in the next 12 months, and it
consuming under 1kw, you start to wonder what is the more cost effective
system.*

That and all this fits in 1U of space**.
