(a) build it myself.
(b) go to a specialist computer retailer.
(c) pick it up from the local supermarket, along with the cat food &
tea bags.
Some on this list might have the necessary skills to build their
own, most would probably buy from a specialist retailer, but now (c)
is a possibility:

So, should we put up KLUG posters in our local Tesco? My local one
has a noticeboard to advertise local events, so maybe we could
advertise our meetings, and possibly even just advertise the group's
existence if there isn't a local meeting.
Can't see why they wouldn't allow it - we'd be offering to help
their customers make best use of their products, and possibly even
increasing their sales by offering support to people who were not
sure about buying because they didn't know much about Linux.
Thoughts?
