[Klug-general] loss of internet

Having just got back to the UK I put Ubuntu on my desktop. It is now 
dual booting with Vista. However I have found that when using Ubuntu 
sometimes I am connected with the internet and at othertimes there is no 
connection. This is disappointing (to say the least!). I have an 
ethernet connection and Vista works perfectly.

Any suggestions.

Ps I tried a live version of Mandriva which worked perfectly.
