Cheers - must check this thing about only being able to use HP ink. 
I've had my EPSON Stylus Color760 for a while and I stopped being able 
to pick up cartridges for it a while back.  I now order compatibles from 
  http://www.inkjetcartridgeshop.co.uk/index.html and they are a 
fraction of the price and seem to work fine.

Don't want to tie myself into a situation where I have to replace my 
printer just because HP changes its mind - even if they only cost £37!
