I bought one from the Del UK website.  It's been fine.  I had to update 
a couple of the drivers so that the integral webcam would work properly 
- but they were available with full instructions on the Dell Ubuntu 
site.  I'd agree with Dan though - they are not exactly pushing it. 
It's not like you can just configure an inspiron and choose between 
Windows and Linux as an operating system in the same way you can choose 
which hard disk or webcam you want.
