The website does say 'and those just intrigued by all the hoopla', so
knowledge of Rails isn't a prerequisite.

I feel much the same way with regards to the train fare.  Nice to know
about it though, definitely one to bear in mind for the future (it
appears they meet regularly).  I have played a little with Rails in
the past and would be interested to what people who use it for a
living are doing with it.
