Ok I knew I should not have said something about stuff I know nothing about
:-) I feared I would be wrong and look stupid.
Being the GUI person that I am I fired up Synaptic on my eeePC. I do this by
pressing CTRL + ALT + T which brings up a terminal window and then sudo
synaptic. I searched for xcdroast and marked it for installation, but it
failed and the details window said it needed libgnome2-perl, so I searched
for libgnome2-perl and marked that for installation. Next time I applied the
changes xcdroast installed.
To start I did sudo xcdroast in terminal, however it reports that it needs a
1024x768 screen resolution to run, so I don' t think you will get it to run
on a eeePC, unless you use an external monitor.
Hope that helps, and someone needs to do a binary install talk at a KLUG
meeting oneday ;-)
Colin
