Lots of interesting and relevant advice - as expected. This group is so 
instantly helpful.

I shall try it all out and hope the problem is solved.

Regarding VirtualBox. I love it. It means I can try all sorts of distros 
fully extended and make up my mind which way I want to go in future.

Thoroughly recommended.
