See if there is a package for 'mbmon' or 'xmbmon' for the distro.
lm-sensors might also work, but is dependent on kernel modules being
available for the hardware, and can be tricky to set up.
If you want to see trends over time, then you could install Munin and
the appropriate plugins for mbmon or lm-sensors. You'll then get graphs
which might show you what is going on.
